what we believe

cascade kidsCascade Kids

We have lots of families with kids at Cascade Hills and we take their presence among us as a blessing and a serious responsibility. During Sunday morning worship, we enjoy a time of worship together as families and then the kids go to various classes for age-appropriate worship and teaching. We provide an attended nursery and a separate class for toddlers/twos, kids ages 3-5, and kids ages 6-10. We also host family fun nights and help families develop the practice of family devotionals.

In His wisdom, God gave us the gift of community: we are not meant to undertake the Christian life all by ourselves. At Cascade Hills, we are committed to supporting one another as we live out our faith. Especially when gathered together in our Home Communities, we prayerfully ask: How can we best support one another as we follow Jesus daily? Gathering weekly in groups of 6-10 adults, we strive to answer that question. Each Home Community is made up of unique individuals and new people will join what God is doing at Cascade Hills. Because of these dynamics, each Home Community will look a little different and will find its own way to serve that central purpose.

alpha ministryAlpha: (re)discovering the Christian faith

Alpha is a special kind of small group designed around a discussion-style exploration of the Christian faith. We begin with dinner, watch a video discussion starter, and then discuss and reflect over dessert. Alpha is an excellent way to connect with others and make friends whether you're just checking out the Christian faith or you've been a Christian for years. More about Alpha...

impact ministryImpact

We are currently exploring ways of making a real impact in the lives of people in our city. Rather than trying to start specific ministries ourselves, we believe it to be the best use of our time and resources to find what God is already doing in the city and join Him there. Our aim is real impact, and there are many good options that we are beginning to see. One big area of need in our city is support for foster families in a system overwhelmed by demand. We are currently exploring ways to equip and send people to serve Salem's foster families in various ways.
